Jane Doe: A Novel
Okay… this psych-thriller was just FABULOUS!!!! Fans of Tarryn Fisher’s female villains that you just can’t help but root for? THIS IS FOR YOU!!!!

Maryse: I’m reading AND LOVING “Jane Doe”!!! If you want a plotting, sharp-as-a-tack sociopathic heroine in the vein of one of Tarryn Fisher’s magnificent villains (or are they vigilantes? 🙂 )… read this!!!

HOLY MOLY I’m in love with the writing (and the heroine’s voice). I’ve been craving more Tarryn Fisher and this one is hitting the spot BIG TIME! P.S. It’s super-bargain priced and on KU!! read more

Reader Question… SOLVED! The book about the handsome guy that tortures women in his soundproof basement…

Amanda needs our book help! GASP!!!!!!!! The first part of her question (a Beauty and the Beast aspect) had me immediately thinking of a few contemporary romances (like maybe from Katy Regnery)?

But then she mentioned the super-dark aspect and…. eeeeeeeep!! I have not read this one, but I’m dying to know.

She asks:

This is probably a strange email, but I love your reading lists and frequently get suggestions from you.

Therefore, I was hoping you’ve read this book that I encountered maybe 5+ years ago, but CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME remember the title. It’s not much to go off of, but please let me know if it sounds at all familiar to you. read more

Yep, it’s not only alpha males that make me squee. The creepy stuff does too! *snort* 😛

Book Review – Verity by Colleen Hoover

Verity
<— TOTALLY. TOTALLY MY THING. Love twists and jaw-dropping reveals? THIS.

Right from the VERY first line, I gasped, shocked at what I just read, and I was hooked. And to be honest, it doesn’t surprise me that it came from Colleen Hoover, as she’s written “love stories” in so many genres (some sweet, some forbidden, some with incredible personal growth, even that dark one… “Too Late”) that it just makes so much sense that she’d venture into a creepy, psych-thriller obsessive-love territory, too. read more
