Sexiest Vampire Alive (Love at Stake)
Gorgeous GORGEOUS GORGEOUS!!! Gregori is NEXT. He is a young and modern vampire, and quite the player, to boot! 😉 I can’t wait to read about him. His human mom will be in the picture too, so this has got to be good! I hope he gives his female match a bit of a hard time like Carlos did. That book really rev’d me up, and made me crazy. I love when the “love match” isn’t easy, and a player like Gregori *should* be a promising read.
My Book Reviews
Book Review – The Darkest Kiss by Gena Showalter
The Darkest Kiss (Hqn)
Hrmm…. good, but not overwhelmingly good. I wanted to finish it and I enjoyed the story progression (lots of little side things going on), but I found my self easily setting it aside. That first kiss had me swooning (I LOVE a resistant hero). But…. I didn’t fall in love with Lucien. I blame Anya for that. Maybe it’s cause she’s already an immortal female, and I’m jealous of ’em. Yeah, yeah…. you already knew that 😉 After two years of reading this genre, I’ve deduced that I prefer books with male immortals (of any kind) who fall for mortal females. Plain ol’ human females, or *special* humans are good too. I can relate to ’em a little more. Okay… perhaps I’m being a *little* catty.
Book Review – The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter
The Darkest Night (Hqn)
What is the difference between a bossy guy that makes you growl with anger and a bossy guy that makes you purr? Well… the purr-inducer is a paranormal hottie that doesn’t know any better. He doesn’t “get” us modern women and he just can’t help his bossiness. Hundreds of years (thousands?) spent in torture, with out love will do that to a guy. Oh… and he’s irresistably intense.
Hey! What?! *blush* I’m making excuses for this guy? I suppose I have a need to explain and rationalize my reason for crushing on this “hero” so badly (cause really, I should have wanted to kick him you know where!) I mean, I found myself frequently appalled and yet completely… *ahem* smitten. Yeah. Smitten. Let’s go with that 😉
Book Review – The Reluctant Vampire by Lynsay Sands
The Reluctant Vampire: An Argeneau Novel
This was cute. Nice and entertaining enough, but it didn’t rock my world. No jolts, no making me angry. No need to cry, and really… not much swooning for me, either. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing right? Sometimes we just need a nice light read on a lazy Saturday afternoon. And this one delivered a little something extra. A laugh out loud moment (with a certain “black and white kitty”) that had me giggling so hard, and for so long, that my husband felt the need to ask me if I was going to be okay.
Behind The Books™ – Interview With Author Olivia Cunning

Olivia Cunning. The woman that started my rockstar fascination (well, at least my “book” fascination- I’ve always thought the real thing was pretty hot).
I’m so happy that this romance/erotica author took her love of rock music and musicians, to her writing. It was because of her book Backstage Pass: Sinners on Tour, and then Rock Hard that I realized there was more to love in the book world, than just vampires. Mere mortals could be downright exciting too… they just had to be a “certain kind of exciting” 😉
