Book Review – Incandescent by River Savage

Incandescent: Knights Rebels MC
Looking for that Kristen Ashley biker alpha-male feel? This just might do the trick! Super-sexy MC book with all the growly-guys, claiming, and bossing around (er… sweetly-ish or, at least as sweet as a biker-boss can be), to satisfy you alpha-sweet tooth. 😉

Shell found it a few days ago while we were perusing bargain book finds,

Shell: ‘Incandescent’ by River Savage it has really high ratings and the Alpha hero is the Club President. He’s described as “crass, obnoxious and dangerously sexy”… and he’s also single dad to his son. read more

Book Review – Frenched by Melanie Harlow

Frenched
Steamy and sweet and everything in between. A great little contemporary romance read that made me smile, gave me a few butterflies and had me feeling that touch of book-angst that I crave so much. And it was soooooo often recommended, so it’s about time I gave it a go!

Ashley: OMG…I just finished Frenched and it was AMAZING!!! Great recommendation from M. Pierce and you, Maryse! Smart, funny, sexy, sweet…this book has it all! Now I just need one to top it!

Lori: I just finished Frenched, I liked it, easy and romantic…Tucker the f**ker, it keeps popping in my head and making me laugh. read more

Book Review – Nine Minutes by Beth Flynn

Nine Minutes
This one is making waves (everyone appears to be loving it) and it sure was good! Biker book/kidnap book that gave me chills from the start. I mean… wow, right? Hopping on the back of a stranger’s bike and realizing he’s not taking you where you asked him to? Eeeeeep!!! Then… arriving at the biker compound and realizing there is no going back. She was kidnapped.

Yep. I was IN!

I was in for pretty much all of it, and I read with gusto, ’cause I knew *something* blew everyone’s mind at some point, and I couldn’t wait for that reaction. read more

Book Review – Prisoner by Skye Warren and Annika Martin

Prisoner (Criminals & Captives Book 1)
I love Skye Warren and was quite delighted to try a new author that co-authored this dark read with her. Well… I say “dark” lightly as this isn’t as dark as our usual. But definitely had that captivating “”bad-guy” thrill element that we love so much.

And while the premise did have that certain ring of familiarity to it (I loved “Hard Time” <— my review), it quickly took us on it’s own version of an exciting-scary romp. Good read, but not necessarily unputtdownable for me. I was way more into the first half… and while the second half was good, I wanted more of… well… the first half. 😉 read more

Book Review – Harder by Robin York

Harder: A Novel (Caroline & West Book 2)
This was a great sequel to the book that had me absolutely on edge this week, in love and in emotional angst! Book #1 (Deeper) set my heart on fire, and gave me a perpetual stomach ache, and had all of that realism that I crave in “new adult” novels, but alas… it left me in a heartache lurch.

And Harder (this book!) twisted that knife in my gut just a little harder. A little longer. And for a good portion of the story. 😉

Aimee: Thing I loved most about this book is how genuine Caroline and West felt as people. I fell into “being” each of them within seconds of the shift in POV. Too real! read more
