It’s no secret that one of my favorite “guilty-pleasure” heroes are the bad-a$$ fighter types. Underground street fighters, cage fighters, MMA, UFC, Boxers, up and comers, and Heavyweight champions… it’s all good to me. I love ’em!! I love watching them on TV and I especially love reading as they find (and attempt to resist) love amidst their chaotic lives. The highs—> super-strength and super-skills, and the lows (or the “fun stuff” if you ask me) —> groupies and anger issues. ‘Cause it’s always that, isn’t it? They’re fighters for a reason, and the tough-guy/bad-boy attitude is irresistible to me. They are the rock stars of their world, the “gladiators” of ours and BIG on protecting those they love. *swoooooon*

Wait for You
Great new release that I barely put down. Reminiscent in feel of some of my favorite new adult books from when I first started reading indie. This one had just enough of everything (and in just the right amount of depth) to keep me connected and feeling what the heroine was feeling. Lots of pining… you know how it goes… 😉 (yeahhhhh I love to do that. It’s my favorite!!).

That’s right! My time has come. I’m spending my day with Kellan once again. I remember YEARS ago… YES (now I can say years ’cause it was back in August of 2011) so, YEARS ago… barely (not?) sleeping so I could get the most of my time with him. Who could put these books down??!! Not I.

The 2nd installment in Rush and Blaire’s saga was woooooohoooooo steeeeeamy!!! Whoa. I can’t exactly remember if the first one was like that (I have a feeling it was, but my Rush-crush was my main focus at that time), but at one point in this one? I just… 
My eyes bugged out and yep… I started tugging on my cookie monster pajama top (Cookie again? Total fluke that I was wearing him for this one, too. Hehe. Cookie Monster is a whole new trigger for me now ;)). I covertly looked around to make sure no one (aka “husband”) was watching my reaction and mouthed “whoa.” That was HOT.

Raid (Unfinished Heroes) (book #3 in the series, and while past characters appear in this one, it still reads perfectly as a standalone).
Before I start, there are no real spoilers, but this book is best savored not knowing what’s coming up at all. It’s got angsty romantic tension, pining, insecurities, blow-ups… all of that. Best experiencing this one fresh. Just know if you are in the mood for an UBER-alpha steamy read with some really tumultuous moments, and a definite “real-guy” feel, (and you want to be infuriated with him, even as you fall for him) then this is for you.
