Cover Reveal! New covers for Angie Stanton’s “Rock and a Hard Place” & “Snapshot”

By Leave a Comment

This YA series (The Jamieson Collection) was suggested for my “ultimate list of rock star reads” by Charity, and Karen listed book #1 (Rock and a Hard Place) in her 2011 top twenty list! They sound like great reads and are officially on my TBR list!

And while the original covers were beautiful, check out their new updated look, now that these books have been picked up by “HarperCollins”. The old covers are still on Amazon, but will be updated once the HarperCollins versions are released. But, we get a first look at them, right here on my blog!!! read more

Book Review – On Every Street by Karina Halle

On Every Street (The Artists Trilogy)
(book # 0.5 in The Artists Trilogy – this “prequel novella” (lengthy novella at over 100 pages!!) can be read before Sins & Needles but was written after Sins).

Here’s a mini-review before the MAIN review for those wanting to go into this one blindly –> Nothing is really spoiled in the review below, but I do let on to something I had no idea would happen to me when I first read book #1. And I really enjoyed the surprise. So you can probably read this review below spoiler free (other than realizing lots of “crazy” has already happened in this series so far) that makes us flip-flop in our loyalties. But if you want to go into this not knowing a thing, I’d say just know that we’re loving this series. It’s an absolute thrill-ride and there are wonderful bouts of adrenaline and emotional surges. Sexy, steamy with moments of romantic intensity. Plus that initial deep-seated need for revenge that is making a mess of these characters. read more

The Ultimate List of Fighter Romance Books

By 47 Comments

It’s no secret that one of my favorite “guilty-pleasure” heroes are the bad-a$$ fighter types. Underground street fighters, cage fighters, MMA, UFC, Boxers, up and comers, and Heavyweight champions… it’s all good to me. I love ’em!! I love watching them on TV and I especially love reading as they find (and attempt to resist) love amidst their chaotic lives. The highs—> super-strength and super-skills, and the lows (or the “fun stuff” if you ask me) —> groupies and anger issues. ‘Cause it’s always that, isn’t it? They’re fighters for a reason, and the tough-guy/bad-boy attitude is irresistible to me. They are the rock stars of their world, the “gladiators” of ours and BIG on protecting those they love. *swoooooon* read more

Book Review – Wait For You by J. Lynn

Wait for You
Great new release that I barely put down. Reminiscent in feel of some of my favorite new adult books from when I first started reading indie. This one had just enough of everything (and in just the right amount of depth) to keep me connected and feeling what the heroine was feeling. Lots of pining… you know how it goes… 😉 (yeahhhhh I love to do that. It’s my favorite!!).

The flirting. Ohhhh the flirting.

Now I know many of you have gotten your hands on this one early (considering some of the bookstores released this a few days ago)…. and to you all I can say is *lucky grumble grumble lucky* but guess what I GET to do, today??

That’s right! My time has come. I’m spending my day with Kellan once again. I remember YEARS ago… YES (now I can say years ’cause it was back in August of 2011) so, YEARS ago… barely (not?) sleeping so I could get the most of my time with him. Who could put these books down??!! Not I. read more
