Lover At Last: A Novel of the Black Dagger Brotherhood
To say I was dying to finally get to Blay and Qhuinn’s story is an understatement. I have been feeling them for a few books now, and was thrilled they (and we) were finally going to explore their potential. Their magic. After all, I was crushing on the old “V and Butch” potential back in the day and am still in love with their soul-deep connection. I was a bit surprised at the turn they took, but, considering how much I loved V’s book, and the romantic intensity between him and his mate, I’m happy. Those two made me cry a few times, and anything that I feel that deeply will forever be cherished as a favorite.

Cover & Blurb Reveal – Colleen Hoover’s “This Girl”
Look at this gorgeous cover! “This Girl” by Colleen Hoover will detail events that occurred in her hit, Slammed, but via Will’s POV. A back and forth look into where they are now 😉 and where they once were. (expected release date: April 30th 2013)
There are two sides to every love story. Now hear Will’s.
Colleen Hoover’s New York Times bestselling Slammed series has brought countless readers to their knees with a whirlwind of love, passion, and heartache. Layken and Will’s love has managed to withstand the toughest of circumstances and the young lovers, now married, are beginning to feel safe and secure in their union. As much as Layken relishes their new life together, she finds herself wanting to know everything there is to know about her husband, even though Will makes it clear he prefers to keep the painful memories of the past where they belong. Still, he can’t resist his wife’s pleas and so he begins to untangle his side of the story, revealing for the first time his most intimate feelings and thoughts, retelling both the good and bad moments, and sharing a few shocking confessions of his own from the time when they first met.
Book Review – The Dark Prince by S.L. Jennings
The Dark Prince (BOOK #2 in The Dark Light Series) – If you are new to this series, you MUST READ #1 first!!! —> Dark Light (check out my review of #1 but just know that #2 is a 5-STAR PLUS read, for me)
I. Am. ELATED!! This book gutted me in the most intense way. I was romantically floored, then distressed, and in the end? Ah ah ahhhhhh! I’m not saying. 😉
Okay so like… you know when you start a book and it’s good, but our fellow readers are talking about other books that also look good (and that they are enjoying) and you question if you want to check those out right away, just in case? You become a book glutton and can’t focus on just one. You “book-hop” (I’m kind of guilty of this). But I can’t help it ’cause I’m looking for that ultimate book-rush and, if I’m not 100% (or close to that) connected… I can be distracted. Tempted away.
Book Review – Dark Light by S.L. Jennings
Dark Light (The Dark Light Series)
Brought to my attention recently by many enthusiastic readers and even a few enthusiastic authors (two of them are my favorites), so you KNOW I had to read this.
Tiffany: The Dark Light series is a Must Read!! ♥
Michele: Love it!!!
Maryse’s Book Blog: I keep hearing this!
Britto: Loved both books!!! Can not wait for the third!!
Julie: Reading the Dark Light Series, into book 2 now, I really like it! The first 20% of book 1 was a little slow then picked up. Anyone know if there’s a third book or is it just these 2?
The Intense Pleasure of a Romantic Build-Up (and what makes a book my favorite)…
After 4 years of expanding my “romance repertoire”, I’ve come to realize that my biggest book-crushes (my most intense reading experiences) involve the relationships that
were not easy. Not easy for the main characters sure, but not easy for the reader, too. Obviously speaking, the author’s intent of a romantic relationship between two characters is there, yes. But there’s something about it that’s… subtle. Subconsciously, I find myself agonizing over the when? Wondering, “what if… never?”
