This is Jody’s request and I wholeheartedly agree that this trope is SO MUCH FUN!!! Let’s make a list!

Yep! I think this is a great idea for a list, since so many real-life couples that have fallen in love (and even married) started off in chat rooms. I remember back in the old AOL days… 😉

Reader Recommendations – Our favorite “Falling for my boyfriend or best guy friend’s brother” books

I have a pretty specific trope recommendation request from Priscilla so I’ll try and break it down and simplify it. 😉

That title pretty much says it all (though the heroine can also fall for her best GUY friend’s brother – that works too!), but she’s in the mood for a few particular things.

Okay this is what she’s looking for. She says:

TROPE:

  • Female Lead is either dating or best friends with a guy.
  • That guy most likely likes her or is in love with her BUT she falls for the older brother who is the black sheep of the family.
  • He’s dark moody and doesn’t give a fudge about anyone or anything.
  • And he threatens her… until he doesn’t anymore. Hahaha we all know how that one goes.

I know I have read books like that but I can’t remember the names, I remember scenes of books but not the titles even author because it’s been so long. I remember reading one exactly and both the girl and the guy best friend are in highschool and either the older brother is a senior or in college. But he is not way older. read more

Book Review – What We Forgot to Bury by Marin Montgomery

What We Forgot to Bury was my Amazon First Reads selection this month and it was a difficult choice between two books on that list (both psych-thrillers) but the other seeming to lean towards a romance/love obsession and I was so in the mood for that. You know I love those!

And surprise surprise, this one actually had a touch of that, too!

Gin is in the mood to read a very specific trope (historical OR modern is fine). I can’t think of anything off the top of my head to recommend her in that regards? I’m not a huge historical romance reader, but I’m sure there are plenty in that genre…

I have read (and love) opposites attract/wrong side of the tracks books (a few where the hero is homeless that I LOVED), but I can’t think of any where he’s a slave…
