This is the series that started me on my Kristen Ashley marathon. Her Rock Chick series was recommended, but, I dunno… as I was scrolling through the list of her books, I started on this series instead. I hadn’t even read the premise of the Rock Chick books yet (so it wasn’t about that), but “Tate”, from book #2 in this series, was just… calling to me. And once I started it, I knew I’d end up devouring all of her books. It was AWESOME!!! Addictive, and you end up really caring for the main characters and their entourage. In all actuality, I had no idea he (Tate) was part of a series, so I sorta started in the middle, but no biggie! While they all occur in roughly the same “area”, each story stands on it’s own.
Basically, these are some hardcore alpha males!! And *wow* simply out of this word, in their intensity. Bad-boys for sure, and so often infuriating in their demeanor and bossiness, but you can’t help but fall for each one, and neither can the heroines.
As per Nicola, another fellow reader (and bad-boy enthusiast 😉 ):
“… I loved all the characters again and the writing was so descriptive that I fell in love with that place!”
About the series, as per the author:
“… I’ll be exploring important subtexts. The Gamble was overcoming mourning and suicide, Sweet Dreams was self-discovery and believing in yourself no matter what crazy decisions you made to screw up your life. Lady Luck will delve into racial issues.”
- The Gamble (Colorado Mountain Series Book 1) – (my review)
- Sweet Dreams (Colorado Mountain Series Book 2) <— *squeeeeee!!! (my review)* Tate’s book (he’s one of my #1 heroes!
- Lady Luck (Colorado Mountain Series Book 3) – (my review)
- Breathe (Colorado Mountain Series Book 4) – (my review)
- Jagged (Colorado Mountain Series Book 5) – (my review)
- Kaleidoscope (Colorado Mountain Series Book 6)
- Bounty (Colorado Mountain Series Book 7) – April 18th 2016
Here are some tidbits about the series, so far:
(the author says that Ty was sort of inspired by Dwayne Johnson – as “Driver” from the movie “Driven”) …”And from that fascination, Ty was born.”
