Hear Me (Dark Erotica)
For those of you into “dark” erotica reads, I can certainly recommend this one! “Hear Me” is a bit more a long the lines of one of those books. You know… those we’ve enjoyed but with a fair amount of trepidation due to the lack of a “safety net” (Comfort Food, Tender Mercies, Captive In The Dark…). Those without the “safe” BDSM club environment, no safe words, maybe not even a willing submissive, for that matter. This book has a definite danger zone.

Book Review – Beyond Shame by Kit Rocha
Beyond Shame
<—- Last Saturday, I read a book. This one. *blink blink* whoooooooooooooo that was steamy.
It was….. soooooooooo very very steamy. No. Not steamy, that’s too tame of a word. This is EROTICA at it’s most erotic. HOT!!!! And I must have had quite the smirk on my face while reading it, because my husband pointed out my perpetual smile. Asked me if it was a good book. Heh. Yeah. You could say that. *silly smirk* I think I mumbled something along the lines of… “now this is “mommy porn“”. LOL! Hey! Those were the first words out of my mouth, and I knew he’d “get” what I meant by that. 😛 After all, I always told him how I thought “Fifty Shades” was more of a love story then what the news media was trying to portray it as.
Book Review – Down To You by M. Leighton
Down to You (A Bad Boys Novel Book 1)
I fell in book-love a couple of nights ago. Yep! I know. 😉 Again! But but!!! This one was unavoidable. I know so many of y’all are totally gonna love it. PLUS! It was TWO book heroes for the price of one and I hearted them both equally! Ohhh yes, I know… a lot of out books are “two” for the price of one, but this one had a little something extra. And usually, I tend to pick a “team”, right from the start in books, but this one was tough. Now I dunno if my love for them will stand the test of time when future potential book-loves come into play. After all, I only have about 5 or 6 true book-loves that can’t be toppled. I know… “only”
hehe.
Book Review – Risking It All by Jennifer Schmidt
Risking It All
Really good read that might have had me even more enthusiastic had I not been pouting at the price I paid for it. I mean, of course the price doesn’t make or break an excellent story, but… you know. It has to be excellent. I have to be pretty floored by it, to not blink at a significantly higher ebook price.
This one was… really good, and when a story is good, it’s so much easier to adamantly recommend when the cost isn’t so steep. Was it worth the price? Hrmmm… I dunno. Sorta. After all, I DID like it, and at times I felt like I was loving it (Memphis… the ultra-sexy alpha male absolutely had me). But while I found myself personally involved with this angsty love triangle, this book wasn’t an absolute stand-out for me. I’ve read this before… in one way or another (even if this one was a good version of it). There is no denying that I was emotionally connected. At times… I. WAS. MELTING! At others… I was exasperated. And then… hurting.
