They were right. Who’re “they”? Seemingly… all of my fellow readers who read this book before me…’cause it seems like everyone who read it, simply loved it. Over the last month or so, this book series has made frequent appearances on my Facebook page. Frequently recommended, and enthusiastically chatted about each time the subject came up. So when I mentioned making it next in my reading list, the encouraging response was unanimous (both on my Facebook page, and here on my blog):

About Last Night: A Loveswept Contemporary Romance
Great fairly quick read, but I’ll admit it took me until 35% to 40% to get really into it. Once I hit 40% I was golden, so if you can get over the initial “reading hump”, the story, especially towards the ends, will steal your heart. If you’ve read The Marriage Bargain, this one is very similar in feel. Not exactly the storyline and the character issues, but certainly the romantic mood, and story progression has that similar emotional touch.

Soooooo SWEET!! I loved this book, and once I hit the halfway point, I couldn’t put it down. At first I kept comparing the beginning (this couple’s initial connection) to book #1 (Defying the Odds), and I wasn’t sure this second installment would live up to the romantic intensity of the first.

*sigh* One of my BEST. Series. Ever! Bittersweet goodbye for now, as this is the last, but not least, in my Experiment in Terror reading marathon (for now…). Book #5 (the latest release that I received from the author, in this expected 8 book series) did exactly what all of the others did. Put me in an emotional tailspin! Another un-put-downable, creepy-as-heck read (maybe even creepier then all of them). Plenty to fear in this one, since it might not just be ghosts terrorizing Perry anymore. There is something much more sinister at work. Meaning… if you read this at night, do so with the lights on.

Dead Sky Morning (Experiment in Terror #3)
Darkest, most brain scrambling one in the series so far. When I finished it I wondered whether I was ready to move onto the next, or if I needed a bit of “real” time to get my mind back in gear. Yep… it was as good as 1 & 2, but played with my fragile little mind a little roughly, at times. And yet, despite all of the eerie moments, all of the “voices” in my head (I mean her head), it was THE one that lead me right where I wanted to go, or at least, gave the potential “romance” angle a little extra push. 😉
