in Reading Progress

This is my list ( I love making ‘em) of the books I’m reading this year, to help me keep track. I read 76 in 2010. Let’s see if I can beat it!

  1. My Fair Succubi by Jill Myles
  2. Voyager by Diana Gabaldon
  3. Evermore by Alyson Noel
  4. Shadowfever by Karen Marie Moning
  5. Marked by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast

  9. Hunted by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
  10. Tempted by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
  11. Burned by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
  12. Awakened by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
  13. How to Flirt With a Naked Werewolf by Molly Harper
  14. This Side of the Grave by Jeaniene Frost
  15. The Finding by Nicky Charles
  16. When Darkness Comes by Alexandra Ivy
  17. Embrace The Darkness by Alexandra Ivy
  18. Darkness Everlasting by Alexandra Ivy
  19. Lover Unleashed by J.R. Ward
  20. Invincible by Sherrilyn Kenyon
  21. The Demon in Me by Michelle Rowen
  22. Backstage Pass by Olivia Cunning
  23. Rock Hard by Olivia Cunning
  24. Something Wicked by Michelle Rowen
  25. Her Last Temptation by Leslie Kelly – good!! Local rock star plays in local bar, and bar owner has a crush on him. However her impression of him is a bit off, and he has to “go along with it” to keep her interested… he’s got his own dilemma when it comes to her…
  26. Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris
  27. Bonded by Blood by Laurie London
  28. Embraced By Blood by Laurie London
  29. Darkness Revealed by Alexandra Ivy
  30. Rock Charisma by Joan P. Cooley
  31. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
  32. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
  33. Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
  34. Vampire Mine by Kerrelyn Sparks
  35. Falling Star by Olivia Brynn
  36. Rock Star by Lexi Adair
  37. Rock Me by Cherrie Lynn
  38. Unleashed by Cherrie Lynn – awesome little romance, but her book #2 (Rock Me) easily overshadowed it!!
  39. Darkness Unleashed by Alexandra Ivy (didn’t finish)
  40. Sheet Music: A Rock ‘N’ Roll Love Story by Ann Lister
  41. The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter
  42. The Darkest Kiss by Gena Showalter
  43. The Darkest Pleasure by Gena Showalter
  44. Jade Butterfly (Wicked) by Lily Graison – book #3 in the series – shy drummer rock star falls for normal girl, but unwanted groupies cramp his love life…
  45. Blindsided by Sayer Adams
  46. Book Review – For all the Right Reasons by Ann Lister (contemporary romance)
  47. Samson’s Lovely Mortal by Tina Folsom
  48. Maid for the Billionaire by Ruth Cardello – free and was full on contemporary romance. Good read. Didn’t blow me away, but I was into it. No nonsense “maid” (just a temp) puts billionaire in his place. He’s intrigued, but that sort of gets him into trouble…
  49. Ashes of Angels by Michelle Hauf (not finished – couldn’t get into this…)
  50. Amaury’s Hellion by Tina Folsom
  51. Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire
  52. Forever Mine (The Moreno Brothers 1) by Elizabeth Reyes (meh. too young for my tastes. Bad boy teen falls for good girl teen. Some trouble ensues… an “older” version would have been more to my liking).
  53. Flat-Out Love by Jessica Park
  54. Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison
  55. Tangled Web by Jade C. Jamison
  56. How to Kill a Rock Star by Tiffanie DeBartolo
  57. Loves Road Home by Lisa Lewis (not finished – the writing was distracting, and heroine got on my nerves)
  58. California Dream by Kara Jorges (not finished – wayyyy too 80′s rockstar-ish for me to enjoy it.)
  59. Breathe by Abbi Gline (disney-esque type of  YA but with dark undertones “pop star” falls for maid)
  60. Unwritten Rules by M.A. Stacie
  61. Retribution by Sherrilyn Kenyon
  62. Hearts in Darkness by Laura Kaye
  63. Forever Freed by Laura Kaye
  64. Ravensong by ML Hamilton (Native American gorgeous singer plagued by drug addled past and emotional angst falls for female assistant manager)
  65. Book Review – Under the Cowboy’s Control by Lynda Chance
  66. Sweet As Sin by Inez Kelley
  67. Love Unscripted by Tina Reber
  68. Providence by Jamie McGuire
  69. Requiem by Jamie McGuire
  70. Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens
  71. Effortless by S.C. Stephens
  72. Bloodlines by Richelle Mead (still reading)
  73. One Grave at a Time by Jeaniene Frost
  74. Sophie’s Turn by Nicky Wells (marry accountant or rock star?) Good and somewhat disappointing. Heroine’s thought processes reminded me of a “flitting hummingbird” – nonstop chatter. Had so much potential, good romantic angst and tension, but a couple of characters sorely disappointed me…
  75. The Reluctant Dom by Tymber Dalton
  76. Envy by J.R. Ward
  77. Laid Bare by Lauren Dane (still reading)
  78. Fifty Shades of Grey by E. L. James
  79. Fifty Shades Darker by E. L. James
  80. For All The Wrong Reasons by J.L. Paul
  81. Pulled by Amy Lichtenhan – deep, dark, emotional story – very sad, scary circumstances, risky heroine, very good, but not the kind of book you “fall in love with”
  82. Sheet Music by Tibby Armstrong – too much sex too fast… story got better towards middle but I struggled to continue it at first. Reminded me too much of “Rock Star by Lexi Adair
  83. Vicious Circles by J.L. Paul – part 2 of the rock and story – almost better than the first, but best friend premise was irritating. She needed to get over herself!
  84. Across the Hall by NM Facile
  85. Club Shadowlands by Cherise Sinclair
  86. Dark Citadel by Cherise Sinclair
  87. Please Don’t Stop the Music by Jane Lovering
  88. The Sexiest Vampire Alive by Kerrelyn Sparks
  89. Rock Star’s Girl by J. F. Kristin
  90. Wide Awake by AngstGoddess003 (fanfic … not finished)
  91. Fitzwilliam Darcy, Rock Star by Heather Lynn Rigaud
  92. Fallen From Grace by Laura Leone – very good!! Neighbor male escort, and they become close. Tortured hero and past.
  93. Home For The Holidays by Jeaniene Frost (The Bite Before Christmas Anthology)
  94. A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
  95. Between the Lines by Tammara Webber
  96. Where You Are by Tammara Webber
  97. The Sweet Gum Tree by Katherine Allred
  98. Finding Home by Bonnie Dee and Lauren Baker
  99. Strangers by Barbara Elsborg
  100. Comfort Object by Annabel Joseph
  101. Cool Shade by Theresa Weir – recluse ex-rockstar holds a huge secret. And everyone wants a special tape (unreleased song)  he has of his famous singer that died.
  102. Sweet Dreams by Kristen Ashley
  103. At Peace by Kristen Ashley
  104. The Gamble By Kristen Ashley
  105. Lady Luck by Kristen Ashley
  106. Hot Night by Shannon McKenna
  107. Captive in the Dark by CJ Roberts (dark and eerie and creepy… reminded me of Kitty Thomas’s Comfort Food with all the Stockholm Syndrome issues)
  108. Love at First Flight by Marie Force (fluffy candy romance read – not amazing but fine and fun for something easy and quick between intense reads)
  109. Poughkeepsie by Debra Anastasia
  110. Mystery Man by Kristen Ashley
  111. Last Summer by Theresa Weir
  112. Fury by Laurann Dohner
  113. If I Stay by Gayle Forman
  114. Where She Went by Gayle Forman
  115. Make or Break by Lori Whitwam (did not finish – it’s a rock star book but I’m not feeling the “rock star” angle at all – just a mystery to solve)
  116. Defying the Odds by Kele Moon
  117. On The Island by Tracey Garvis Graves

If you read a book twice do you count it twice?

Maryse August 18, 2011 at 9:29 PM

LOL!! Good question.

But in this list, nope. I didn’t count it twice ;)

Did you review Unwritten Rules? I see you read it and I was looking at it on Amazon. What are your feelings regarding the book??

Thanks as always for your insight :)

According to amazon I have 240 books I’ve finished and archived from 10/10 to present! Which surprises me but not my husband, lol!

Wow, how did I miss this question!? Okay, yes I’ve read Unwritten Rules, enjoyed it, but it wasn’t a frenzy inducer for me… I found the hero was almost crush-worthy, but, I dunno – something kept me at bay when it came to him… I couldn’t let myself go completely. I will be reviewing it within the next couple of days…

Have you read any of the Women of the Otherworld books by Kelley Armstrong? I have to say it is one of my favorite series, along with the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I didn’t see her name in your list. If you haven’t read them, you should check them out.
